Friday night and I really wasn’t in the mood to drink or go out so when I got the text from one of my boys that they would be hanging out at Clarendon Grill in Arlington, I thought to myself, “meh, why not”. To be honest I typically cant stand spending a night out in Arlington. The whole scene is played out, filled with over grown frat boys still rocking striped shirts, torn jeans and sandals. This is perfect because most of the girls in Arlington hardly put in any effort in presentation themselves. The whole city is like a crappy dive you go to when you’re not trying look your best but just want to be out of your apartment for a few hours.
While at the bar I ended up running into a girl who I went to college with. That’s another thing about Arlington, it’s so freaking small. But it was one of those weird nights where everything just seemed to line up out of the blue, where you go out with low expectations and things kind of just land in your lap. Turns out that it was this girls 30 birthday and we’d always had a crush on one another. I bought her a drink and then she drags me to the dance floor.
She was looking good for being out in Arlington. High heals put her in at over 6′ and her black tight dress exposing plenty of cleavage insured she was one of the finest girls in the bar. On the crowded dance floor she accidently bumped into the typical Arlington douchebag. She apologized and we went back to doing our thing. That’s when I noticed him whispering to his boys and looking back at us. I could tell he was trying to come up with a way to make a move and scoop my chick. I mean what the fuck, no respect.
