Four years, 48 months, 208 weeks, 1,460 days, 45,000 hits….299th internet date from hell: priceless. Yes, that is my life as the Single Guy. After last night’s 299th date, I have decided to give internet dating a break. I cannot take any more bad first dates. I feel as though dating is like one long and never ending spinning class…going no where, painful the next morning and ending back where I started.
I am starting to feel a bit like Charlotte in Sex in the City. I too feel like I’ve been dating since I was seventeen. I’m exhausted. Where is he? Them?
Last night’s number 299 was dinner and a movie with Gavin, a 30 something interior designer. Gavin and I had been chatting on the internet for a few weeks. He spent a lot of time up north in Byron Bay. He described himself as straight acting and muscular. He had that Aussie boy next door look to him. He was actually a Kiwi. The lies had started even before the date!
